Faculty of Nursing at Helwan University Organizes Scientific Seminar on the Importance of Hand Hygiene
Under the patronage of Prof. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University; Prof. Walid El-Sorougy, Vice President for Environmental Affairs and Community Service; Prof. Afaf Salah Abdelmohsen, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Helwan University; Prof. Zeinab Hussein, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service; and Prof. Taghreed Talaat, Acting Head of the Adult Health Nursing Department, and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Manar Hamza and Dr. Abeer Ashraf,
the Adult Health Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing, Helwan University, organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Importance of Hand Hygiene.”
The seminar was held for first- and second-year students on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Prof. Aisha Awad Hall, at 12:00 p.m.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of proper handwashing and its role in disease prevention and health protection. Students actively participated by practicing the correct handwashing steps, contributing to enhancing their practical skills and reinforcing healthy behaviors.
