Scientific Activities at Capital University Launch “Best CD” Competition Across Faculties
The Scientific and Technological Activities Department at the General Administration of Student Welfare at Capital University announces the launch of the “Best CD” Competition at the university level.
This comes as part of Capital University’s commitment to supporting student activities in various fields and their role in developing students’ skills and fostering innovation. The competition is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hossam Refai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Alik, Advisor to the University President for Student Activities.
Students are required to submit a project (CD) presenting a research topic in one of the following areas: social, medical, engineering, agricultural sciences, climate change, or renewable energy, provided that it meets the following criteria:
1. Clarity and harmony of colors
2. Clear expression
3. Interaction between the program and the user
4. Innovative idea
5. Proper use of definitions
6. Artistic presentation
7. Use of multimedia software such as Flash Multimedia, PowerPoint, and Video
Evaluation will be based on the student’s ability to effectively communicate the research idea to the judges using the above methods.
Students wishing to participate must prepare and submit the CD along with a copy of their national ID and university ID card to the Scientific and Technological Activities Department at the General Administration of Student Welfare, Building (W), University Administration. The deadline for submission is April 8, 2026.
The competition is organized under the supervision of Major General Mohamed Abu Sheqqa, Secretary-General of the University; Mr. Hesham Refaat, Assistant Secretary-General; Ms. Nashwa Ali, Director General of Student Welfare; and Mr. Medhat Allam, Department Director.
