⚡ Launch of the "Energy Innovation" Competition at Capital University ⚡
As part of supporting innovation and تعزيز the role of youth in achieving sustainable development, the Scientific and Technological Activity Department at the General Administration of Student Affairs, Capital University, announced the opening of applications for the "Energy Innovation" competition, which aims to explore innovative solutions in energy conservation and renewable energy.
The competition is held under the patronage of Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University; Dr. Hossam Refaie, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Ahmed Aleek, Advisor to the University President for Student Activities.
The competition aims to discover and support students’ ideas and projects that provide practical and innovative solutions to energy challenges, contributing to sustainability goals and Egypt Vision 2030. It also seeks to encourage students to think creatively and apply scientific knowledge to address environmental issues.
The competition covers the field of energy conservation, including smart devices to reduce electricity consumption, building energy management systems, and low-cost thermal insulation solutions. It also includes renewable energy fields such as solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy, energy storage, and green hydrogen applications. Projects must be innovative, applicable, easy to use and maintain, and cost-effective.
📌 Application Requirements:
Applicants must be students at Capital University and submit a practical and applicable idea, either individually or as a team. A printed copy must be submitted including the student’s full name, academic year, faculty, and phone number on the cover page, along with a copy of the student ID and university card. The submission should also include a detailed project description, its objective, the problem it addresses, proposed solutions, and an image of the project if available.
📍 Submissions should be delivered to the Scientific and Technological Activity Department at the Student Affairs Building (Building W, annex to the University Administration Building). The deadline for submission is Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
