As part of the Faculty of Nursing – Capital University’s commitment to promoting health awareness and supporting women’s health throughout the different stages of life, an awareness seminar entitled:

“Golden Years: Women’s Health During Menopause”

was held and organized by the Department of Maternal and Newborn Health Nursing. The seminar was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, postgraduate students, and female administrative staff, reflecting the growing interest in women’s health issues and the promotion of health awareness within the university community.

The seminar featured a lecture by Dr. Asmaa El-Sayed Mohamed Mostafa, Assistant Consultant of Nutrition, who addressed several important topics related to women’s health during menopause. The discussion focused on proper nutrition, the physical and physiological changes women experience during this stage, and key healthy practices that contribute to maintaining overall health and improving quality of life.

The seminar also featured Dr. Omnia Ibrahim Mohamed, Lecturer in the Department of Maternal and Newborn Health Nursing, who discussed the key concepts and changes associated with menopause.

The seminar witnessed remarkable interaction and active participation from the attendees, with fruitful discussions and an exchange of questions and experiences regarding the health challenges associated with menopause and appropriate ways of managing them. The discussions also emphasized the importance of preventive care, early detection, and maintaining good health.

This seminar reaffirms the active role played by the Faculty of Nursing – Capital University in promoting health awareness, serving the community, and bridging academic knowledge with sound health practices. These efforts contribute to improving women’s health and enhancing their quality of life.
